Duncanrig welcomed Whitehill Fp to Ballerup on Wednesday night in confident mood after there 9-0 win over Jamestown on Saturday. Assistant Manager Kevin Inglis made only one change from the team on Saturday with Craig Hnedry replacing Andrew McAuslin in goal.
Duncanrig did not get off to a good start going down 2-0 after ten minutes, the first was a mistake by Hendry in the Rig goal with the 2nd form another mistake this time McKinnon playing his pass back to Hendry well short and leaving the Whitehill striker to round the helpless Hendry in the Rig goal. Duncanrig managed to get one back when Kevin Gallagher beating his man on the left wing and managed to find Allen at the back post who finished with a left foot volley. Duncanrig looked to be getting back into the game when yet another defensive mistake let Whitehiil restore there 2 goal advantage. John Jo Lang then pulled another goal back for Duncanrig before half time.
Duncanrig started the 2nd half on top and looked as if they could get a goal back, only for keeper Hendry to take a knock on the head whilst diving at the feet of a Whitehill striker. After some treatment he looked ok to play on but after 5 minutes things where not so good, an ambulance had to be called for the Rig keeper. The game was held up for half an hour whilst he received treatment all the Rig subs being used Dodds who was making his first start for the 1st team took over in goal. After the game re-started Whitehill managed to get a 4th goal leaving Duncanrig with an uphill battle to try and get 2 goals back with a man short.
